Well my running friends....I am switching blogs. If you go to my Profile, you'll see my blog called "The Pink Tile"....in that blog you will be able to follow my path to becoming a breast cancer survivor. I was diagnosed on March 11, 2009 with Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma. Please read my Pink Tile blog for further updates.

P.S. I am not running right now, and I really really really miss it.

Seattle Half Marathon November 2008

K2 and I ran the Seattle Half Marathon on November 30, 2008. This was by far my favorite course, the hills were just right, and I beat my PR by 3 minutes, setting a new PR of 2:37. I got to meet TeelJay6 from the WW Fitness Message Board at the Expo - she's the auburn haired beauty in green.

Nike Women's Half Marathon - October 2008

Having completed 2 marathons and 1 half marathon as a walker, and training to run for 6 months, here I am at my first half-marathon as a runner. The course was tough and hilly, my chip time was in 2:40. The reward at the finish line was a Tiffany necklace, and the recovery area was full of free goodies, food and a massage if you were willing to wait in line (I was!).

I met some new friends, and found a new passion.

Seattle Iron Girl 10K

We completed our first 10K in September at Greenlake in Seattle. All of the ladies in this photo are completing a First. Some a 5K and some a 10K. I am on the far left, and K2 is on the far right.

Aquarun 5K July 2008

Here we are 2 months later doing our first 5K. We used a training program similar to the Couch 2 5K program, starting with 3 minute run intervals and working our way up. (I am in the light pink top, K2 is in the brighter pink top)

Whidbey Island Half Marathon - April '08

Here's where we started our events - we walked the half-marathon. It was after this event that we decided to train to run a half-marathon.

I am on the left, and my running partner - K2 is on the right. This was her first medal!!
